Part of Council Regulations 25 of 2002: Trust Regulations
1. The University accepts with gratitude from the Trustees of the Daphne Somerset Fry Memorial Trust all moneys paid, or which hereafter may be paid, to the trust.
2. All moneys received from the trustees shall be invested and used to form a fund to be known as the Daphne Somerset Fry Memorial Fund.
3. The Regius Professor of Medicine shall make use of the income of the fund, at his or her discretion, to advance knowledge in the field of Bright’s disease and cognate problems, such use to take the form, when considered desirable by the Regius Professor of Medicine, of the award of a research fellowship or scholarship, any such awards being entitled Daphne Somerset Fry Fellowships or Scholarships, as the case may be, and being administered under regulations to be made by the Board of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine.
