Elections by Congregation: Audit & Scrutiny Committee (MPLS & Medical Sciences)

General Information about this constituency

This constituency is comprised of one member of Congregation elected by Congregation from among members of the faculties in the Divisions of MPLS and Medical Sciences who shall not serve on Council or on any committee which in the view of Council has mainline executive authority within the University, or hold any office in the University or any college which involves executive authority.

Elections to this constituency restrict candidates to members of faculties in the Divisions of MPLS and Medical Sciences. (A list of faculties can be found in Statute VII). Furthermore, the successful candidate shall not serve on Council or on any committee which in the view of Council has mainline executive authority within the University, or hold any office in the University or any college which involves executive authority.

The full term of office is four years (or less, when a by-election is held to fill the residue of the term of office for an elected member who is standing down early).

The terms of reference and membership of this body are set out in Part 8 of Council Regulations 15 of 2002.
