Part of Council Regulations 25 of 2002: Trust Regulations
1. The University accepts with gratitude such further sums as shall be donated by Dr Walter J. Burdette; these shall be added to the fund created by his original gift of $5,500 in 1983 and subsequently supplemented by further gifts from him totalling $4,500.
2. The whole of the income of the fund shall be used, under the direction of the Nuffield Professor of Surgery or that professor’s deputy, to provide for lectures in Surgery to be known as the Burdette Lectures in Surgical Science.
3. Any income not expended in any year shall be carried forward for expenditure on the Burdette Lectures in Surgical Science in subsequent years.
