Charterhouse European Bursaries

1. The University accepts with gratitude from the Charterhouse Charitable Trust the sum of £100,000 to establish a fund to be known as Charterhouse European Bursaries Fund, the net annual income of which shall be used for the award of bursaries to junior members working for degrees of the University who wish to undertake a period of study of up to one year in another European country. Priority in the award of bursaries shall be given for study in the areas of Economics, Management, Applied Mathematics in Industry, Engineering, and Technology.

2. The fund shall be administered by the International Committee.

3. Any income not spent in any year under the provisions of clause 1 above shall be carried forward for expenditure in subsequent years.

4. Council shall have power to amend this decree from time to time, provided that the object of the fund as defined in clause 1 above shall always be kept in view.
