Halstead Scholarships in Music

1. The bequest of the residue of the estate of the late J.I. Halstead shall be invested and the income used for the maintenance of scholarships, to be known as ‘The James Ingham Halstead Scholarships in Music’, for graduates of any university who intend to proceed to an advanced degree in music of the University of Oxford, such as a B.Mus., M.Litt., or D.Phil., or, if they already hold a sufficient qualification, a D.Mus.

2. The bequest shall be administered by the Board of the Faculty of Music which shall have power to make regulations, not inconsistent with this decree, for the award of the scholarships.
