Heather Benefaction

Note. This subsection is not a decree or regulation, but summarizes a deed dated 20 February 1627

William Heather, Mus. Doc., by deed dated 20 February 1627 gave to the University an annuity of £18, issuing out of certain lands at Chislehurst, Kent, of which £15 is paid to the Choragus, £2 to the free school of Stanwell, Middlesex, and the balance to the General Fund of the University.

In November 1964 by the payment of £298 (now in the Trusts Pool) the rent charge of £18 was redeemed.
