Hicks Fund

Amended by Council 5 May 2005

1. The University accepts with gratitude the bequests by Sir John Hicks, sometime Drummond Professor of Political Economy, for the promotion of the study of Economics and Economic History at the University.

2. All sums received in respect of the bequests shall constitute the Sir John Hicks Fund, which shall be administered by a joint committee of the Boards of the Faculties of Social Studies and of History.

3. Council shall have power to alter this decree from time to time, provided that the purpose of the fund as set out in clause 1 above shall always be kept in view.
