Palgrave Brown Bursary Fund

Made by the General Purposes Committee of Council on 4 February 2010

1. The gift from the Alan Palgrave Brown Will Trust which comprises one million pounds sterling (£1,000,000), together with any further donations for this purpose, shall be known as the Palgrave Brown Bursary Fund (the ‘Fund’).

2. The University shall retain all of the Fund as a permanent endowment and shall apply the net income of the Fund towards providing bursaries for undergraduate students of the University who are in need of financial assistance towards tuition fees and/or living costs; and are or were previously resident or educated in either the United Kingdom counties of Norfolk or Suffolk or Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Serbia Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

3. The administration of the Fund, and the application of its income, shall be the responsibility of the Enhanced Bursaries Committee.

4. Regulation 3 above may be amended by Council.
