Sidgwick Chemical Library Fund

1. The bequest of two-twentieths of the residuary estate of the late Professor N.V. Sidgwick for the libraries of the Physical and Inorganic Chemistry Laboratories which was accepted by Decree (1) of 10 March 1953 shall be called the Sidgwick Chemical Library Fund.

2. The annual income shall be expended under the directions of Dr Lee’s Professor of Chemistry in equal parts on behalf of the libraries of the

(a) Physical Chemistry Laboratory;

(b) Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory.

3. The income so received shall be applied to the maintenance of the various series of scientific periodicals bequeathed to the University by Professor Sidgwick, and to the general purposes of the two libraries.

4. Council may, from time to time, alter the provisions of this decree, provided that the fund shall always be used equally for the benefit of the libraries of the said laboratories.
