The Department of Earth Sciences Field Teaching Fund

Made by the General Purposes Committee of Council on 24 January 2008. Amended by the General Purposes Committee of Council on 1 December 2011.

1. The benefaction from an anonymous donor which comprises the sum of £12,000, together with any further donations for this purpose, shall be known as the Department of Earth Sciences Field Teaching Fund (‘the Fund’).

2. The University shall apply the Fund to provide support for students and teaching in respect of any aspect of fieldwork related to geology in the Department of Earth Sciences.

3. The administration of the Fund shall be the responsibility of the Department of Earth Sciences, which shall appoint a committee with delegated authority to discharge this responsibility on its behalf. The committee shall be responsible for applying the income and, at its discretion, the capital of the Fund.

4. Regulation 3 above may be amended by Council.’
