Turnbull Travelling Scholarship

1. The University accepts with gratitude the sum of £6,100 contributed in recognition of the work of Sir Alec Turnbull, Nuffield Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 1973 to 1990, together with any further sums which may be contributed for this purpose, to establish a fund for the provision of travelling scholarships, to be known as the Sir Alec Turnbull Travelling Scholarships and to be awarded from time to time to people working in the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

2. The fund shall be managed by the Board of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine, which shall determine from time to time the persons eligible for and the conditions of award of the scholarships, and their several value and tenure.

3. Council shall have power to alter this decree from time to time, provided always that the main object of the fund, as defined in clause 1 above, is kept in view.
