Elections to Faculty Boards: Theology & Religion

General information about this constituency

This constituency is comprised of five persons elected by and from the members of the Faculty of Theology and Religion.

This means that to participate in this election (i.e. to nominate a candidate, to stand for election, or to vote), you must be a member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion.

The full term of office for this board is 2 years (or less, when a by-election is held to fill the residue of the term of office for an elected member who is standing down early).

The terms of reference and membership of this Board are set out in Council Regulations 19 of 2002.

The board meets twice a term and meetings generally last for one and a half to two hours. Board members are expected to read the papers before the meeting. These include minutes of previous meetings, minutes of standing committees, papers and recommendations from standing committees, proposals, and draft policy documents from University committees. The quantity of reading material varies, but when there are draft policy documents to consider, this can be of the order of 100 pages.
