As a senior academic with 30 years of institutional experience at research universities (10 years in Oxford and 20 years at the UiT The Arctic University of Norway), and as a senior post holder in syntax and semantics, I believe I have the skills (and responsibility) to contribute to the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics at this level. I care deeply about teaching at the both the undergraduate and graduate level, and I also care about protecting and nurturing a thriving research environment in Linguistics at the highest level of international excellence.
