Gibson Lecturer in Advanced Surgery: Sir Paul Patrick Benefaction

1. A gift for the general purposes of the University of £1,000 from Sir Paul Patrick, K.C.I.D., CSI, MA, Corpus Christi College, shall be invested and the interest used, in accordance with the desire of the donor, in the first place to maintain a Lecturership in Advanced Surgery to be awarded triennially and to be in commemoration of John Monroe Gibson, BA, University College, FRCS
2. The lecturer shall be appointed by the Board of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine, on the recommendation of the Nuffield Professor of Surgery, on such terms as it shall think fit.
3. The board shall use any income not required in connection with the triennial lecturership for the provision of occasional lectures on surgical subjects.
