Part of Council Regulations 24 of 2002: Regulations for Academic and Other Posts
1. The University Lecturer in Spanish shall lecture and give instruction in Spanish studies under the direction of the King Alfonso Professor.
2. The lecturer shall be elected by the Board of the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages after consultation with the King Alfonso Professor, and subject to approval by the General Board.
3. The lecturer shall be elected for a period of one year in the first instance, with the possibility of an extension for up to nine months in addition.
4. The total cost to the University of the lecturership shall be charged to the Spanish Fund.
